Frisbee golf
description
Frisbee Golf is an up-and-coming sport. There is a local course at Normandy Farms Campground in Foxboro, MA. It is a combination of Ultimate Frisbee and Golf. Frisbee Golf not only requires the ability to throw a Frisbee, but it takes much of the same precision and analysis of Golf. Students will first learn about the basic throws used in Frisbee Golf (forehand and backhand). They will have an opportunity to practice before taking part in Sage's own Frisbee Golf course. The course incorporates the various objects around the playground and field area. The greatest thing about Frisbee Golf is as long as you have a Frisbee and anything to throw at, you can play!
Towards the end of the unit, the students get a chance to learn how to properly score a game of Frisbee Golf. This includes understanding what terms such as birdie, bogey, and par mean.
